Mortero was a gifted child. From an early age, his parents noticed his musical talent. Other than spending hours playing on a xylophone, he once built his own drum set using his mother’s pots and pans. At the age of three, he started playing by ear. He seemed to absorb the music and performed it effortlessly.
His family enjoyed his musical shows and kept a video archive of their son’s memorable performances.
Mainstream schooling was challenging for him. He found it increasingly difficult to sit still in class and listen while all he could see, feel, and hear was music. He became frustrated in class, and his grades began slipping.
The young Mortero learned to play the drums at a musical academy. Soon after mastering the drums, he started looking for his next challenge.
Mortero flourished, and his musical endeavors were met with much acclaim in a new music academy. However, he felt that something was still missing.
Attending a formal wedding for the first time, Mortero was intrigued by the DJ who was playing the music. Instead of dancing and enjoying the evening like everyone else, Mortero spent the whole evening watching the DJ work, peppering him with many questions. He walked away that night, determined to find out more about DJing.
He spent hours listening to music and began mixing his own music. His talent was evident right from the beginning. Soon, Mortero was seen performing as a DJ among his fellow friends and family members.
After he became well known in his surroundings, people started to request him to perform as a DJ at their private gatherings and parties, to showcase his incredible skills.
The turning point in Mortero’s DJ career life, was when he first played as a warmup DJ for Amr Diab’s concert in Dubai in the year 2019. That was in front of 13000 people.
After this concert, Mortero’s name started to shine in the MENA region, and he started to perform as a professional DJ in proper clubs in the Middle East and some countries in Europe, the UK, Greece, and Croatia, Amsterdam, & Zanzibar.
Mortero is now known as one of the leading DJs for his ability to play nearly all types of music, including Commercial, Electronic, Western, Latin, and Arabic.
Mortero is currently embracing his musical journey by diving into the world of music composing and he is planning to compose his own music.
