RIYADH: Emirates Telecommunications Group Company (Etisalat Group) has appointed Salvador Anglada as the new CEO to lead its Enterprise Digital division, the company said in a disclosure to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).
Anglada has more than 25 years of experience in the telecom and IT industry, and had previously held leadership roles in Europe at Telefonica and Dell.
“During his eight years at Etisalat Group, his leadership has been decisive on the development and transformation of the B2B unit into a new level revamped with growth and expansion,” the company added.
The company reported a consolidated net profit of AED4.7 billion ($1.27 billion) for the first half of 2021, an increase of 3.9 percent year on year.
