At the Marrakech International Film Festival, Jessica Chastain impresses.

Jessica Chastain, an American actress and producer, made waves this week at the 20th Marrakech World Film Festival in Morocco.
The celebrity, who serves as the head of the jury, showed up to the function decked up in a dazzling jump suit with silver tasseled details from Armani Prive’s autumn 2021 couture line.

Iranian actor Zar Amir, French performer and comic Camille Cottin, Australian artist & filmmaker Joel Edgerton, British producer Joanna Hogg, US filmmaker Dee Rees, Swedish filmmakers Tarik Saleh, and Swedish artist Alexander Skarsgard were among the jury members that joined Chastain on stage.
In reference to the Israeli military assault in Gaza, Chastain stated, “In the weeks preceding up to the festival, we weren’t sure that we were going to be able to be here,” during her speech on the first night of the festival.

She declared, “Our shared world is broken and devoured.” “Art has consistently been used as an approachable medium for communication, bringing social issues to light and bringing about positive change throughout history.”

Others concurred, encircled by red carpet crowd and flashing camera lights.

The director of the Marrakech World Film Festival, Melita Toscan du Plantier, stated, “We know what’s happening and don’t forget it.” But the heart matters. The heart is a tool against darkness and against strife. We’re here to discuss directors from this area, screen films, and have heartfelt conversations.

The event’s organizers expressed their excitement in presenting films from Morocco, the region known as the Middle East, and Africa. They intend to workshop films from all around the region and pay tribute to Moroccan filmmaker Faouzi Bensaidi throughout the course of the week.

For his roles in the James Bond villainous movies “Another Round,” “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” and “Casino Royale,” Danish performer Mads Mikkelsen was given a career achievement award.

other than 70 other films are anticipated to screen during the festival, including the Matteo Garrone drama “Io Capitano” on Italian immigration and Chastain’s role in Michel Franco’s “Memory.”
