The Honorable The world’s preeminent F&B manufacturing event, Gulfood Manufacturing, was inaugurated at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) on Tuesday by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and vice president of the United Arab Emirates.
Gulffood Manufacturing reflects the UAE’s crucial role in shaping the future of vital industries that are essential to the advancement and well-being of the global community, according to Sheikh Mohammed. In keeping with our philosophy of providing forums for the exchange of innovative concepts and approaches to urgent global issues, this year’s Gulfood Manufacturing will advance global food security and sustainability. In an era of rapid technological advancement, the UAE is committed to supporting resource-efficient methods in the food industry while also encouraging innovation and quality.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and the Dubai World Trade Center Authority (DWTCA), Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ).
Over 3,000 exhibitors from 80 countries are showcasing their newest goods, services, and solutions to an international buyer audience at four co-located events—Gulfood Manufacturing, The Speciality Food Festival, ISM Middle East, and Private Label ME—reinforcing Dubai’s status as a hub for sustainable manufacturing and innovation. The dates of all four events are November 9th. More than 36,000 delegates from the international food business attend the event.
Foodtech Summit opening sessions featured thought-provoking talks from international industry leaders who are revolutionizing food production. The winners of the Gulfood Manufacturing Industry Excellence Awards 2023, which honor the most cutting-edge goods and innovations that have significantly advanced the sector during the previous year, were also revealed on the opening day of Gulfood Manufacturing.
Tetra Pak Export FZE won the Best Packaging Innovation Award for its Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 330 Square with DreamCapTM 26, and Ishida Europe Ltd. took home the Best Food Safety Innovation Award for its The IX-PD X-ray inspection system. GEA Middle East FZE was named Sustainable Company of the Year for its Low Carbon Heat Network.
More than 600 nominations from around the world were submitted this year for the ten award categories. Three new categories—Renewable Energy Initiative, Plant-Based Manufacturing Company of the Year, and Sustainability Champion of the Year—reflect the event’s focus on sustainability. From November 7-9, 2023, three DWTC food and beverage events will be held in conjunction with Gulfood Manufacturing.
