With outstanding runway shows, Pipatchara, Lili Blanc, Lama Jouni, and Weinsanto kicked off day two of Dubai Fashion Week.
The event began on Tuesday with a display of designs that exposed the body by Thai firm Pipatchara, which is well-known for its intricate hand-knotted macramé designs. The sibling duo behind the coveted label chose to focus on an evening-ready collection with plenty of cutouts, neutral colors, and a slew of electrifying green outfits.
Sabrina Mouhieddine, a Lebanese fashion designer who launched the Dubai-based brand Lili Blanc, debuted a monochrome collection with accents of neon green as well as hot pink. The tailored line included pantsuits boosted by unexpected peek-a-boo cutouts, blazer-style dresses, and waistcoats worn with miniskirts.
When a woman creates clothing for every woman, there is simply something special about it. All women are distinctive and lovely in their own particular ways, so let’s embrace the wonderful qualities of being a woman, the fashion designer said in an advertisement posted on Instagram.
While this was going on, Lama Jouni’s most recent collection featured bandeau tops, tailored minidresses, and vibrant hues to contrast the drop’s dominant black color. Hot pink tights were worn with light tones of violet, and more than a single model wore green and pink together. Despite the fact that the pink stockings and the chosen color of green didn’t go together perfectly, one hot pink and red combination looked amazing on the runway.
After years of collaboration with renowned fashion brands like Balmain and Rad Hourani, Lebanese designer Jouni launched her own line in 2013.
Ameni Esseibi, a Tunisian model, walked the runway for the French fashion house Weinsanto in two all-black outfits. As a result of an alliance formed by the Arab Fashion Council and France’s Federation de La Luxury Couture et de la Mode, the designer has presented more than five seasons in Dubai. The designers committee for Dubai Fashion Week also includes Victor Weinsanto.
Day two of Dubai Dubai Fashion Week was energized by the former ballet teacher who got his start at Jean Paul Gaultier. He showed structured sets with oversized necklines and gowns with flowy, translucent skirts.
